STRUCTURAL ELUCIDATION OF PYROLYZED PRODUCTS OF PROTOBERBERINE ALKALOIDS IN RHIZOMA COPTIDIS BY ELECTROSPRAY IONIZATION TANDEM MASS SPECTROMETRY

摘要

The pyrolysis of three standard protoberberine alkaloids—berberine, jatrorrhizine, and palmatine—has been systematically investigated by using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). By using the advantages of multi-stage tandem mass spectrometric (ESI-MSn) in specificity, sensitivity, and quickness, the detailed structural characters of the pyrolyzed products of protoberberine alkaloids have been elucidated.
