大阪府内の女子大生親子世代間における食事マナーと社会マナーの現状と意識

More people now tend to eat at restaurants and to eat ready-made dishes rather than home-made dishes at home. It seems that the table manners and social manners of the young generation in public on trains, etc. are different from those of their parents. A questionnaire survey was therefore conducted to discover the differences in table manners and social manners, and the relationship between the two, between the young generation and their parents. The questionnaire involved 16 questions, half of which were related to table manners, and the other half, to social manners. Students of women's universities and their parents were randomly selected for the survey. More differences were found in table manners, the table manners of the young generation not being as good as those of their parents. The social manners and perception of manners of the young generation were quite different from those of their parents.
