This Article deals with the construction of a structure corresponding to a sports space of the University of A Coruna. It treats a new and modern structure formed by 238mm thick reinforced masonry walls of ruled surfaces. The mentioned watts besides constituting the space enclosure, also serve to support the covering structure formed by a spatial truss that covers a total surface of 46,323m x 22,080m and consists of 78 semioctahedral stackable modules of 2,450m side length and 1,732m height, disposed to the edges by their diagonal parallels. The truss bars are tubular hollow pieces of square section of 125mm side length and 25mm thickness made of laminated fir timber (picea abies) of GL28h resistance class. The connection of the bar ends is realized by means of gluing solid wooden blockings of Elondo or Tali (Erythropleum ivorense) that carry the metallic threaded rods fixed by means of two component resin HIT-RE 500 of Hilti. The structure of the covering corresponds to a typology that has been patented by the authors of this article.
