摘要

Janusz Rebielak is a Professor at the Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland, where he is Head of the Division of Structures and Building Engineering at the Department of Architecture. This book provides examples of large span and lightweight roof covers, essentially domes, made of tension-strut systems. The main subject covered here is the presentation of the morphological method of shaping such system by application of spatial modules having the suitable form of a tetrahedron, or an octahedron. Using the programming language "Formian" developed at the Space Structure Research Centre by Professor H. Nooshin and his team at the University of Surrey in England, the Formian programs depict these systems.
