In this paper, the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is generated according to the sample data of the lunar surface received from laser altimeter in Chang'e I satellite. An interpolation method that combines mobile curve fitting method with weighted average method is proposed after analyzing the character of the sample data from Chang'e I. The experiment results show that this interpolation algorithm can effectively avoid the interpolation mutation points and make the final DEM more accurate with better continuity and smoothness. Therefore, the effectively of the terrain feature on the moon can be better reflected.
