The method involves completing a part of incomplete artifactual building objects (24) relative to horizontals (a-d) of the artifactual building objects, where the horizontals are determined from design data of the building objects, stereo images of a stereo camera or attributable measurement values. A wire model of the artifactual building objects is inserted into a three-dimensional (3D) bottom model under application of a condition of a convex installation space of attached edges (e-i) and intersection points. Surfaces of the wire model are complemented using the measurement values. The 3D bottom model is designed as a digital terrain model.
