摘要

A non-linear turbulent hydrodynamic model was proposed by Zhan and Li (1993) using the large eddy simulation approach and directional eddy viscosity method. The model is simplified in this paper and is applied to the problem of a side discharge into Open-channel flow, where a recirculation zone develops downstream of the discharge. The Numerical results are compared with experimental results(Strazisar and Prahl(1993) and Mikhail, Chu, and Savage(1975)) and previous numerical results obtained using a k-ε Model (McGuirk and Rodi, 1978). The agreement is good.
