摘要

If you ship dangerous goods to or from Canada, you may have noticed a growing problem over the past few years -Canada's Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDG) have been falling behind the times. The current regulations still reference the Fourteenth Revised Edition of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, as published in 2005. This time-warp effect has left Canada without many provisions that are important to modern shippers, such as: 1. the option to ship by ground as Excepted Quantities, 2. updated shipping descriptions, such as those for lithium ion versus lithium metal batteries and 3. new hazard markings, such as the limited quantity diamond and environmentally hazardous substance mark that are shown in the current UN Recommendations.
