A set of equations ofmotion is derived for an aircraft undergoing aerial refueling. The equations include the time-rnvaryingmass and inertia associatedwith fuel transfer aswell as the vortex-inducedwind effect fromthe tanker. Theyrnare derived in terms of the translational and rotational position and velocity of the receiverwith respect to the tanker.rnThe equations of motion are implemented in an integrated simulation environment with a feedback controller forrnreceiver station keeping as well as a feedback controller to fly the tanker on a U-turn maneuver.
