摘要

A new Ce~(3+)-doped oxyfluorosulfide phosphor, Y_3OF_3S_2:Ce~(3+), has been investigated as a new candidate for potential application in phosphor-converted light emitting diodes (pc-LEDs). The synthesized Y_3OF_3S_2:Ce~(3+) was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and various spectroscopic techniques. Y_3OF_3S_2:Ce~(3+) can be excited by wide-range (250-400 nm) radiation and shows yellow-orange broadband emission peaking at 610 nm with a quantum efficiency of 40%. These results indicate it may serve as a promising phosphor in near-UV pc-LEDs.
