摘要

The concentration level of Cox's Bazar beach sand minerals garnet, rutile and zircon was determined quantitatively using X-ray diffraction (XRD) method. The impurities of the minerals were also determined in mineralogical form. Garnet was found to be in the range of 58.3 - 60.5% pure in the minerals. Pure rutile and zircon were found to be in the range of 89.2 - 91.0% and 98.5 - 99.0%, respectively, in the total minerals. Present XRD study reveals that the purity level of Cox's Bazar beach sand minerals zircon is very good, that of rutile is good and garnet is comparatively poor.
