In general, the resistances increased with thickness until a maximum of about 100-180 (mu)m and then decreased unexpectedly. The initial increase in resistance was caused by a reduction in the fraction of pinholes with increasing thickness of the films, as was discussed in the preceding section. The decrease in measured resistance for thicker films could be caused by a reduction in the degree of crosslinking of the films, as a result of solvent retention.
