Finally, in the conclusion stage, based on systematic analysis of the preceding stages above, this study summarizes the significance of the adaptation strategy to the protection and regeneration design of vernacular dwelling heritage. The microscopic case study makes an important role in the comprehensive analysis of the organic form of the traditional vernacular dwellings and the traditional settlements. The deep understanding of the formation mechanism and the spatial adaptation strategy of the vernacular dwellings provides us an important research foundation for the preservation and renewalrnof the vernacular dwelling heritage, and even the preservation and continuation of the historical heritage of the traditional settlement.
