摘要

The US Marine Corps (USMC) has commenced rotations for a new programme of shorter training deployments working alongside Norwegian forces in the Arctic region, beginning with approximately 350 marines and sailors from 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, for two months. "This is the first rotation of shorter MRF-E [Marine Rotational Force - Europe] deployments, announced by the Marine Corps in August 2020," US Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa (MAR-FOREUR/AF) said in a 28 October press release. "MRF-E's deployment will be synchronised with the Norwegian Armed Forces' Arctic training and will allow for increased operational flexibility for the Marine Corps."
