Russia to launch $9bn defence industry loan plan

Russia is set to issue defence industry loans worth more than USD9 billion under plans revealed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin on 30 July. Loans will be available from 2013 to 2015 to privately owned companies as well as state-owned assets within the framework of the Russian state armament programme, which runs from 2011 to 2020.
