This report describes the current situation of radioactive waste management at shipbuilding enterprises in the Russian Federation. It also describes briefly:rn1. The federal programme for the scrapping of decommissioned nuclear submarines;rn2. The principal technological scheme for this scrapping;rn3. The current implementation of the federal programme with its accompanying problems;rn4. The proposals of the State Committee for Defence Branches of Industry for projects within the framework of the federal programme which could be realized with co-operation and aid from the Nordic States.
