The National Minimum Wage for farm workers (includingforestry workers) that took effect on 01 March 2021, willreverberate throughout the timber sector, including theentire supply chain and the construction industry. The newminimum wage has been set at R21.69 per hour, an increase of16.1% over the 2020 minimum wage of R18.69 per hour.
