MIS research at the University of Houston: direction and activities

At the University of Houston, MIS research has several unique characteristics: (1) research is practical, yet theoretically and methodologically rigorous; (2) collaboration is encouraged among faculty and Ph.D. students; and (3) research is significantly supported by research centers that provide funding, research sites, and a sounding board to help researchers focus on issues important to IT professionals. These characteristics combine to provide a unique and important portfolio of MIS research at the University of Houston.
