Euronext offers €510m for LCH French arm

Pan-European exchange group Euronext has made a cash offer of €510m to take control of LCH.Clearnet SA, the Paris-based subsidiary of clearing group LCH, which is wholly-owned by the London Stock Exchance Group. The deal is expected to pave the way for Deutsche Boerse's planned US$14bn acquisition of LSEG by addressing antitrust concerns raised by the European Commission, which centred on the two firms' stranglehold on derivatives clearing.
