Edinburgh-based healthcare software developer CRANEWARE launched but then promptly scrapped an ABB on Monday evening after its acquisition target set terms with another vying buyer. Allocations for the placing were finalised by the leads and company once the book closed at 9pm but were never disclosed. At 7am the next day, a statement was put out revealing the decision not to proceed with the placing. Craneware received news from the US that it had missed out on its target, meaning it could not satisfy all conditions in the placing agreement.
