WHITBREAD SEEKS £1bn FOR LONG-TERM STRENGTH Hotel and restaurants group whitbread is targeting proceeds of £lbn from a rights issue as it aims to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic in a healthy position and with an eye on growth in the UK and Germany.JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley are underwriting the entire £1bn capital increase on an equal basis for a 2.2% fee plus a 0.2% discretionary incentive fee and a £400,000 sponsor fee for each underwriter. They are sponsors and corporate brokers to Whitbread.
