QPIG bondholder group protests

A group of Hong Kong investors are protesting against a tender offer for qinchai provincial investment croup's US dollar bonds, which they say is unfair. Aluminium producer QPIG, in which the Qinghai provincial government owns a 69.3% stake, last month failed to pay a coupon due January 10 on its US$300m 6.40% July 2021 bond and was also unable to make payment within the five-business day imputed grace period.
