European Policymakers Begin Groundwork To Ratify Global System for Chemical Labeling

In the first major European gathering of policymakers in the field of chemical labeling since the Draft Resolution of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, or GHS, was adopted in mid-2007, more than 350 officials from 16 countries met in Marseilles, France, Feb. 25-26 to start laying the groundwork for the ratification of the document.
