Organisers and exhibitors expressed optimism at Hirex '98, the increasingly popular annual forum for the compact equipment and tool rental business. After 25 years Hirex has now settled into its permanent home at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. This year's show, held at the end of January was the largest ever with over 280 exhibitors occupying 9,000m~2 of exhibition space.
