Smoking, physical inactivity and unhealthy diets are assumed to account for a majority of Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD). Lipid levels, glucose, obesity. Chronic Inflammation (CD and elevated blood pressure have all traditionally been considered important factors in CVD. In Norway and the USA CVD represent the largest cause of all deaths amounting to 35 - 36 %, while cancer represents about 25%.
