High School Student Gets Jumpstart on Achieving Career Goals

When asked what they did on their summer vacation, most high school students wouldn't respond by saying they joined more than 2,300 professionals to learn about healthcare technology. But this is exactly how Elma Kotapuri, 17, spent the first weekend in June. Kotapuri, who just finished her junior year at Danville Area Senior High School in Danville, PA, made the trip to Tampa, FL not to hit the beach, but to attend the AAMI 2016 Conference & Expo. She was joined by her father, a chief clinical technology officer for Lifeline Clinical Engineering Solutions; her mother, an electrical engineer; and her younger brother.
