Many Ways Of Solving An Ordinary Linear Second Order Differential Equation With Constant Coefficients

There are many different ways of solving an ordinary linear second order differential equation with constant coefficients. Some of them are available in text books while some others are scattered in journal publications. A comprehensive survey of these methods is presented in this article, along with the essential steps in each method and the relevant references.
