4stroke, 2stroke motionによるべクション誘導の試み: 視覚刺激運動の円滑性が視覚誘導性自己運動知覚に及ぼす影響

摘要

The effects of smoothness in stimulus motion on visually induced self-motion perception (vection) were analyzed in psychophysical experiment with 11 observers. Four-stroke and two-stroke apparent motions were employed in order to control the smoothness of the stimulus motion, along with conventional apparent motion (beta-motion) and real motion. The results indicated that the four-stroke and the two-stroke motions can induce self-motion perception, although its strength was reduced by impairing the observer's perception of the smoothness in the stimulus motion.%本研究では，4 stroke apparent motionおよび2 stroke apparent motionと呼ばれる特殊な仮現運動を用いて，視覚誘導性自己運動知覚(ベクション)に及ぼす視覚刺激運動の円滑性の効果を検討した.11名の観察者が参加した心理実験の結果，4 stroke, 2strokeいずれの仮現運動とも，有効にベクションを誘導可能ではあるが，ベクションの強度は刺激運動の知覚された円滑性の程度に従って低減することが示された.
