This paper proposes a new spatio-temporal equalization method,nwhich simultaneously utilizes an adaptive antenna array and a decisionnfeedback equalizer (DFE). For effective spatio-temporal equalizationnwith less computational cost, how to split equalization functionalityninto spatial processing, and temporal processing is quite important. Onenof the answers which we have given is “incoming signals withnlarger time delays should be cancelled at the spatial equalizationnpart.” The weights of both adaptive antenna array elements andntaps of DFE are calculated only using the estimated channel impulsenresponse, therefore, it requires no information on direction of arrivaln(DoA). We show the performance of the proposed system in multipathnfading channels often encountered in indoor wireless environments andndiscuss the attainable bit error rate (BER), antenna patterns, and thencomputational complexity in comparison with other equalization methodsnsuch as spatial equalization and temporal equalization
