摘要

Numerical analysis of an elliptic reflector above a lossy dielectric half-space is presented. The equivalence principle is used in the combined-field surface integral equations for the currents on the reflector and air-to-lossy-half-space interface. An approximate model for the equivalent electric and magnetic currents on the interface is used to calculate the fields inside the lossy half-space. The numerical results show that the lossy half-space is an effective tool for focusing the radiated beam; especially in the shallow region, even for high values of the lossy permittivity.
