Introduction to special issue on Human Resource Management certification

Human Resource Management Review is pleased to provide this special issue on HRM certification. A number of interesting issues about certification are discussed - efficacy, measurement of worth, criterion-related validation and the need for longitudinal research. The lead article is written by Professors Herman Aguinis and Mark Lengnick-Hall. They raise some provocative issues about HRM certification, issues that all of us as HRM scholars and practitioners should think about. The other articles are written as responses to the lead article. Then, finally, Aguinis and Lengnick-Hall provide a summation of the responses.
