Nordstrom acquired HauteLook last year to gain entry into the private sale online marketplace, a deal which has given the online retailer some heavyweight support. Kecia Hielscher, vp of home at HauteLook, said the acquisition has been a boon to the flash sale site. "In home, [Nordstrom has] supported us in acquiring key home brands and inventory. And they're just one more reason for our members to feel confident about our brands, assortments and service."
