I have always been a big fan of Sony. The styling of the company's products, the brand image... Even as a young boy I had aspirations to own a little FH7 tape system or even an all empowering 'rack' system. But it was my discovery of the real world of hi-fi and an advertisement for the company's Esprit system that was to see me completely hooked. Launched in 1982, the Esprit series of components was an out-and-out declaration by Sony that it had made one of the best high-fidelity systems in the world.
