There are a variety of reasons why homeowners decide to invest in a second bathroom, be it an ensuite or a completely new room. With the recession making it difficult for people to move, there has been an increase in renovation projects to upgrade existing homes, with additional bathrooms being one of the investments that people see as important. The recent 'Bathroom Report' by IPC Southbank found that the amount of UK homes with multiple bathrooms is now up to almost a quarter, at 22.6%. As well as ensuring a more pleasant living environment, many people feel that an additional bathroom has the potential to increase the value of a properly. The report identified the six top drivers homeowners think will help to sell their home, and having an ensuite is one of these.
