Continuing orders for LNG-fue!led vessels should give heart to those currently investing in the developing network of bunkering facilities in northern Europe. Terntank is the latest operator to add to the list of such ships under construction Sweden-based tanker operator Terntank Rederi AS placed an initial order for two 15,000-dwt tankers in November 2013. Last month it declared options on two more ships, all to be built by AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding in China with delivery scheduled to run from February 2016 to early 2017. "With a newly developed dual-fuel main engine from Waertsilae and an advanced hull design from Rolls Royce, Terntank's new vessels will be able to meet all future regulations already in 2016," the company said at the time of the first order. "The vessels' emission of particulates will be reduced by more than 90 per cent, NOx by 80 per cent and CO_2 by 35 per cent."
