An overview of simulations for assorted applications in the offshore industry is given, focussing on the benefits for the business processes of the customers. The analyzed structures include fixed and floating offshore platforms, related ships such as supply vessels, and selected equipment. The benefits concern ensuring low environmental impact, high availability and compliance with regulations, as well as promoting innovative designs and procedures. The role of assorted advanced simulations (structure, noise and vibration, fluid dynamics, installation simulations, etc.) in this context is illustrated by case studies taken from projects of the GL Group.%Der folgende Artikel gibt einen Überblick über Anwendungen von Simulationen in der Offshore-Industrie, wobei der Fokus auf den damit verbundenen Vorteilen für die Geschäftsprozesse der Kunden liegt. Die Simulationen werden angewandt auf feststellende und schwimmende Offshore-Plattformen, in der Offshore-Industrie eingesetzte Schiffe wie Versorgerschiffe sowie Teilsysteme, beispielsweise in der Ausrüstung.
