I remember the start of my Bachelor's degree in geomatics: I was confused by the variety of lectures and practical applications presented in the first week. As the years passed, we studied several theoretical subjects and carried out fieldwork in both the countryside and urban areas. We also had technical practicals in labs. Increasingly, I realised that the profession I had chosen has more advantages than any other. We can follow developments in technology, deal with important decisions, construct modern societies, and observe nature. Through attending several scientific and technical meetings and symposiums, and international summer schools, I discovered even more advantages. Beyond my university education, these efforts helped mernexplore the boundaries of geomatics.
