Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) issued a preview last week of Republicans' plans to push back against Environmental Protection Agency regulatory efforts should they be successful in taking control of Congress in the upcoming November elections. In an op-ed piece published in the Washington Times newspaper last week, Upton-seen as a key candidate to take over the House Energy and Commerce Committee if Republicans gain control of the House-wrote that the Obama Administration's "restrictive regulatory stranglehold on industry" is hurting U.S. economic growth.
