Spontanpneumothorax bei einer Sportkletterin

Unter einem Spontanpneumothorax versteht man die ohne Einwirkung von außen entstandene Ansammlung von Gas im Pleuraspalt. Wir berichten den Fall einer 32-jährigen Frau, die sich mit linksseitigen Thoraxschmerzen, die während einer Klettertour aufgetreten waren, in der Notaufnahme vorstellte. Radiologisch zeigte sich ein linksseitiger Spitzenpneumothorax bei sonst unauffälligem Lungenbefund. Die Patientin konnte konservativ therapiert werden und erholte sich schnell. Nach unseren Erkenntnissen handelt es sich um den ersten Fall eines in der Literatur publizierten Spontanpneumothorax beim Sportklettern.%Spontaneous pneumothorax is defined as the accumulation of gas within the pleural space without visible portal of entry through the chest wall. We report the case of a 32-year-old female, who presented with a sharp left-sided chest pain of sudden onset while performing rock climbing. The chest radiograph showed a left apical pneumothorax without evidence of parenchymal or pleural disease. The pneumothorax resolved spontaneously and she remained well. As far as we know, this is the first case of spontaneous pneumothorax in rock climbing published in the medical literature. A survey of the literature is given.
