摘要

Although my response touches on some key points made in the thoughtful and compelling commentaries by Neil Pierce and David Levin, it focuses mainly on the forward-looking commentary by Greg Walton.I thoroughly enjoyed reading the futuristic perspective provided by Walton. Mobile technology is truly analogous to the cultural and societal changes brought about by the steam engine in railroads. Transportation and the concepts of distance and time changed in ways that few had anticipated. Mobile technology is affecting healthcare workflow and clinical care in a similar way.
