Huber and Friede stress that board engagement is enhanced through board-driven governance and provide a list of indicators that provides a basis for meaningful discussion. Their comments expand on many of the key points in my article and are most helpful. Stout also highlights a major area of focus-how to find the most useful resources to conduct effective analysis of board competencies and performance-and she encourages updating board job descriptions to include transformational governance.
