Predictive analytics are beginning to arm us with powerful insights into an individual's predisposition to a future state of health or disease and will Jielp us deliver on the goal of personalized care. But equally important are descriptive, foundational analytics, which, if built into clinical and business leaders' workflow with near-real-time actionable data, allow us to pivot if needed, fill care gaps, and measure progress. Many organizations are racing to develop tools and processes for delivering predictive analytics, but analytics will be game changing only if combined with strong foundational work and turned into measurable interventions. Analytics leaders and clinical and business leaders must work side by side to achieve success.
