'Nut free' nut flavours tap into growing allergen-free trend

A new nut flavour range completely free of any nut components has been claimed by its producer to be as authentic as the real thing. Available in five varieties -almond, hazelnut, peanut, pistachio and walnut - Sensient Flavours says the range is also on trend with market demands for allergen-free products. According to Mintel,'allergen-free' is one of the top claims among food products, featuring on more than 14% of global product launches.
