Listening in to the 'Battle of Britain'

'Banits' on film in the October issue, about the 'German' aircraft in the famous film, caused me to search my 1968 records about my own involvement with the local activities then taking place. I was living in Ipswich, Suffolk, and trying out my aircraft radio on June 23,1968.1 picked up the NA B-25 camera-ship N6578D flying overhead at 1pm in company with a loose formation of Spanish 'Bf 109' fighters, 'He 111' bombers and a Spitfire.
