Fly-in, US style

Lee Bottom Flying Field at Hanover, Indiana, held its Eleventh Wood, Fabric and Tailwheels fly-in on September 29 and attracted a total of 425 aircraft over the weekend, with an impressive 380 on the grass at the busiest time. There were a fantastic variety of machines to be seen, including genuine rarities and even a number of amphibians. The classics on show included Naval Aircraft Factory N3N-3 'Canary' N44922 (left) and Curtiss Robin N3277G (above).
