Even if nothing's flying, it's hard to walk through the grounds of Old Warden aerodrome in Bedfordshire and not feel lifted. Home of The Shuttleworth Collection, a museum of mostly airworthy historic aircraft, and the venue for a multitude of airshows and events throughout the year, Old Warden is set in the grounds of a country mansion, its original buildings and hangars giving a wonderful sense of pre-war authenticity.
