Bird Dog in Vietnam colours

Cessna 0-1E Bird Dog I-BDOG made its public debut in new colours at the Historical Aircraft Group (HAG) Fly Party at Montagnana, Italy, on June 27. The aircraft, which was on static display at the event, has been the subject of an extensive overhaul by its owner, HAG President Andrea Rossetto. It represents 0-1G 51-11952 Mekong Mauler, the personal mount of W/0 Rick Shoup, who flew it from Vinh Long, South Vietnam, in 1967 with the 199th Recon Airplane Company.
