Cuckoo clock in which the artificial bird is replaced by a real bird, e.g. a hen or caged bird that has been trained to expect food at regular intervals and so opens a door or window to take food from a container at regular, e.g. hourly intervals. Typically a cuckoo clock facade is attached to the front of a hen run or birdcage. A bird cry is generated by a synchronized sound output.
