IAI seeks to assemble aerostructures deals to supply civil aircraft segment

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has intensified an effort to build on its existing aerostructures capabilities in the civil aircraft segment. IAI currently manufactures the G150 and G280 for Gulfstream, but the downturn in the market for business jets has left its design and manufacturing skills underutilised. It is now seeking co-operation agreements with other manufacturers to supply structures rather than build the entire aircraft, as in the case of the midsize Gulfstreams.
