Requirements engineering is a discipline that concerned with capturing, analyzing, allocating, tracing and managing requirements in system development process. With further improvement of requirements for aircraft safety, economy, environment protection and comfort, the development of airframe segment not only focuses on compliance with airworthiness regulations, but also pay more attention to Maintainability, Interchangeability, Manufacturability, etc. This paper focus on the research about application of requirements engineering in the development of airframe segment of civil aircraft. The requirements engineering approach and method is introduced. The investigation and application of the requirements engineering method in the civil aircraft airframe segment development is performed. We analyze the requirements capture process of airframe segment based on sources of requirements, introduce the requirement information architecture of aircraft and build the traceability network of airframe segment, research how can we ensure the requirements are correct and complete, and what we developed in final satisfy the specified requirements.
